In December iSP also announced that it had acquired its first school in Geece – The Platon School.
Platon was founded in 1969, on the outskirts of Athens. It is an International Baccalaureate school with a total of 1,500 students from Kindergarten through to Primary and Senior School. While Platon’s roots are very much in the Greek educational tradition, it also has a very international outlook. The school’s goal is to nurture international mindedness and a sense of global identity by interweaving national and international educational programmes within a bilingual environment.
It actively promotes academic freedom, intellectual diversity and experimentation. We have been impressed by the emphasis that the school puts on new technology and how it uses it to create exceptional, personalised learning experiences for its pupils.
