Tech Fest 2025 - Innovation and Arabic

Tech Fest 2025 provided a dynamic platform to share best practices and explore collaborative opportunities in both English and Arabic. Led by Clive Gibson, Assistant Principal and Head of Educational Technology at Star International School, Mirdif, the Arabic portion of the event was coordinated by Mahmoud Abdalla, Head of Arabic & Islamic Education, at Star International School, Mirdif. He shares his experience of the event both in English and Arabic below:

My involvement in Tech Fest 2025 was far more than event coordination—it was a journey of passion and renewal, with a vision to place the Arabic language at the heart of innovation and modern education.

From the outset, I was determined to provide a platform for Arabic-speaking educators across the UAE to showcase their insights and creative practices. We wanted the world to see that Arabic is not just a language, but a tool for thinking, a space for innovation, and a source of inspiration.

The Arabic segment of the festival featured inspiring workshops, interactive live demonstrations, and rich panel discussions that brought together teachers and educational leaders from diverse backgrounds. All of them shared a deep commitment to advancing Arabic language education through digital and creative means.

What stood out most during these days was the realization that the Arabic educator holds more than teaching strategies—they carry a spirit of innovation and a unique ability to transform the classroom into a dynamic space of experimentation and renewal. The sessions were attended by Arabic language teachers who left a lasting impression and delivered a powerful message: our language is capable of leading, not just following.

The feedback from everyone who attended was overwhelmingly positive. They were truly impressed by the beauty of the event, the quality of the organization, the richness of the activities, and the remarkable role played by our school. Almost every participant expressed a sincere wish that such a day would become an annual tradition.

I warmly encourage all my colleagues across ISP schools—especially Arabic speakers—to be part of next year’s Tech Fest. Don’t just attend—present, inspire, and lead. Tech Fest is not simply an event; it is a platform to project the vibrant voice of our language and the proud identity of our culture in a fast-changing world.

Let us be the ones to carry the torch of development—in the language we love and the identity we are proud of.

المنسق العام للجانب العربي – Tech Fest 2025

في عالم يتسابق فيه الجميع نحو الحداثة، تظل اللغة العربية في أعيننا جسرًا ممتدًا بين الأصالة والتجديد. ومن هذا الإيمان العميق، انطلقت رحلتي في Tech Fest 2025، لا لأُنسّق حدثًا فقط، بل لأحمل حلمًا… حلم أن تتكلم التكنولوجيا لغتنا، وأن تُفتح مساحات الإبداع أمام المعلم العربي، في بيئة تزدهر فيها الأفكار وتتلاقى فيها القلوب.

منذ اللحظة الأولى، كان هدفي واضحًا: أن أُظهر بأن اللغة العربية قادرة أن تُكتب بمداد التقنية، وأن تنبض في مساحات الواقع الرقمي، لا على الهامش بل في الصدارة. وقد تحقق هذا الهدف بأبهى صورة، حين اجتمع في الجانب العربي من المهرجان معلمون وقادة تربويون من مدارس مختلفة في الإمارات، كلهم يحملون الشغف نفسه، والرسالة ذاتها: أن نُعلّم بقلوبنا، ونلهم بعقولنا، ونبتكر بلغتنا.

 عشنا معًا يومًا ثريًا بالتجارب والتفاصيل، يومًا لم يكن عاديًا في سياقه ولا في أثره. امتلأ بالحيوية، بالحوار، بالإبداع الذي تناثر في أركان المكان كأنفاس جديدة للغة العربية. بين ورش العمل والعروض التفاعلية والنقاشات الملهمة، كنا نكتشف معًا آفاقًا جديدة لتعليم لغتنا، ونُشعل شغفًا خامدًا، ونؤمن مجددًا أن المعلم العربي قادر على أن يصنع الفرق، حين يُمنح المساحة والثقة.

 وقد لاقت هذه التجربة صدًى واسعًا بين الحضور، الذين عبّروا جميعًا عن انبهارهم بجمال الحدث، ودقة التنظيم، وثراء الفعاليات، والدور الريادي الذي قامت به المدرسة. وأجمع الكثيرون على رغبتهم الصادقة في أن يتحوّل هذا اليوم إلى فعالية سنوية ثابتة تُجدد الروح وتُطلق الطاقات.

 لقد علّمني Tech Fest هذا العام أن المعلم العربي ليس تابعًا للتغيير، بل صانعه. وأننا حين نؤمن بلغتنا، ونراها بعين الحاضر والمستقبل، فإننا نستطيع أن نقدم للعالم تجربة تعليمية لا تُنسى، فيها فكر، وإبداع، وهوية.

 ومن القلب، أدعو زملائي المعلمين والمعلمات في مدارس ISP، وخاصة من يتنفسون حب العربية، أن يكونوا جزءًا من هذا الحلم في نسخته القادمة. شاركوا، ابتكروا، قودوا، واتركوا بصمتكم. فمثل هذه الفعاليات ليست مجرد أحداث نمر بها، بل محطات نُعيد فيها تعريف ذواتنا ومهنتنا ورسالتنا.

 لنُعلّم بالعربية… ولكن بلغة العالم.

ولنحمل راية المستقبل… ولكن بجذور راسخة في هويتنا
