Collaboration Across Borders
Charlotte Clark the Head of EYFS and Primary at Aspen Heights British School shares her experience as she and key team members collaborated with an ISP School in India this year.
For more than 10 months this year, I have had the pleasure of working alongside the team at Sancta Maria International School, Hyderabad - an ISP School in India.
We were able to discuss best practices, and it was amazing to bring it all to life during our visit to Hyderabad, India! We conducted parent workshops, learning visits, staff professional development sessions, watched inspiring class assemblies, had team outings and had lots of opportunities to talk all things learning and teaching!
Here are three key takeaways from the India visit, where I had the privilege of supporting the EYFS and Primary teams with learning and teaching:
Impactful Staff Training: The CPD sessions on modelling and cold calling were met with great enthusiasm and had an immediate impact in classrooms. It was inspiring to see educators embrace these strategies to enhance pupil engagement and deepen understanding, with increased confidence in delivering high-quality, interactive lessons.
Strength of the ISP Community: The visit reinforced the powerful sense of belonging and shared purpose that defines the ISP network. There was a strong commitment to collaboration and continuous improvement, underpinned by values that truly place children at the heart of everything we do.
Warmth and Professional Connection: From the moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by the team. The openness to learning, willingness to reflect, and the connections built during the visit made it a truly rewarding professional experience, highlighting the strength of our global network and the value of working together across schools.
